  • ¼ cup of oats
  • 1 banana
  • ½ cup of plain low fat yoghurt
  • ½ cup of skimmed milk yoghurt
  • 2 tsp of honey

  • 2 cups ice
  • 1 cup skimmed milk
  • 1 tbsp greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 banana (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed

Try substituting the peanut butter for almond butter and using almond milk instead to mix up the flavour.

5. Strange Smoothie - Sweet potato and banana


A sweet potato may not be an obvious ingredient when you think about making a delicious healthy smoothie but they are low in sugar and sweet in taste. They are a good source of vitamins C, B2, B6, E and B7 making this smoothie a healthy favourite.


  • 1 large sweet potato

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
