About L'Occitane L'Occitane was founded in 1973 by Olivier Baussan, who used a old soap factory to revive the tradition of Marseille soap-making. Olivier used a steam distillation to produce essential oils from rosemary and lavender and later sold these at markets. In 1981 the first store and factory opened in Volx, Provence, and then a later 9 years, L’Occitane becomes a fragrance merchant by opening out the aromas from the Gardens of Provence. In 2002, L’Occitane created a skincare range with Immortelle Divine Cream receiving the “Best Miracle Cream” award, which can be found in 90 countries like North America, Asia, Australia, and many other countries. With L’Occitane, you can also find a range of Face Care products, Hair Care Products, Fragrances, Body & Bath and also a men’s range of products, all made by using natural ingredientss like green tea, plant extracts, peony extracts and many more. L’Occitane have partnered up with ORBIS, an international NGO to help support fight blindness and the economic emancipation of woman and have also began to offer a range of eco-refill packaging, to help the environment.
