Reasons For Slow Paying Cashback
The Facts

It may appear that cashback is either too good to be true or doesn't happen. But that simply isn't the case. Most of the time companies stipulate on our pages how long cashback will take to arrive so you know what to expect.

After a returns date ends or a cooling off period completes, your money will always find a way to you if you use our website correctly. To receive cashback payments on your transactions, the retailer needs to confirm the purchase as genuine. This means that cashback will not be sent to us until after the returns date for the item purchased has ended. This is typically 28 days but can be longer for higher value items. Once the cashback is received by us, we pay it directly into your account. Due to this process, cashback cannot be guaranteed, but we undertake to secure your payment for you as efficiently as possible.

Slow paying cashback explained

You may have to wait for your cashback due to a number of reasons which include, but are not limited to:

  • The returns period for your product may not have expired. The merchant will not want to pay cashback at this stage because it would be possible for you to receive the cashback and then still return the item.
  • Your cashback may not have tracked correctly due to ‘cookie trail’ interference from other sites, such as other cashback or voucher sites, which could result in the commission that we pass on to you being sent to another site. (However, if you think you are missing cashback and you have shopped via the GetPaidTo site, please complete a Cashback Claim form and we will investigate this with the retailer.) This is why it is essential not to try and use any other discount codes other than the ones you find on
  • The retailer may not have released the funds to us in which case your cashback will show as ‘tracked’, but not yet ‘confirmed’. If this remains the case after the returns period has passed please contact us via the Help section of the site.
  • The funds may have been released but not left your GetPaidTo account depending on your minimum payment amount set in your account. This can be remedied by going to My Account > My Settings > Payout Settings and then scrolling down to the Minimum Payout Setting, as it may be that you have not yet reached your chosen level of payout.
