Last week we gave you a run-down of the some of the best festivals being held here in the UK, this week we are doing the same with eight more festival top picks for 2015. Find out who’s headlining and what else there is to offer at some of the country’s most popular summer shows including Lovebox, V Festival and Creamfields.
1. Lovebox – 17th-18th July
Inspired by a box of records and some heart shaped post it notes, Lovebox is a festival that has grown in popularity year on year with some great names in music and brilliant entertainment. This year is no different! With artists including Rudimental, Snoop Dogg, Annie Mac, Cypress Hill, Skepta, Mark Ronson and more, Celebrate the love in the capital for this two day festival. As well as top music acts, there will also be a roller disco, hula hoop workshops, body painting and make sure you get some funny pictures taken in the photo booth for a memorable souvenir! Children over 12 will need a ticket but under 12’s can get in free.

2. Latitude – 16th – 19th July
With not only a great line up in the music world, Latitude festival also brings you great comedians, popular poets and some brilliant dance, theatre and cabaret acts. Topping the bill at this year’s event includes acts the Manic Street Preachers, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, The Vaccines, Years and Years, Jason Manford, Jon Richardson, Alex Brooker, Alan Davies, Ruby Wax, and even a 100 strong choir put together by Gareth Malone, the man responsible for the Military Wives and the All-star choir for Children in Need. There are a number of family friendly activities as well as a family camping area so bring the kids along and enjoy the weekend together.

3. V Festival – 22nd-23rd August
If you want a weekend full of some of the UK’s best music acts, V Festival is a must-do event. With the main stage showcasing popular music acts such as Kasabian, Calvin Harris, Sam Smith, Olly Murs, The Script, Stereophonics, Tom Jones, Paloma Faith, Clean Bandit, Labrinth and more, there is sure to be a number of great acts that you just can’t wait to see. This festival is held in two locations, both Western Park, Stafford and Hylands Park, Chelmsford with the same line up at both. Not only will there be great music, but you will also be treated to some brilliant comedy acts including Frankie Boyle and Russell Kane.

4. Creamfields – 28th – 30th August
If dance music and live DJ’s get you buzzing and up on your feet, you will love Creamfields! Held on the august bank holiday weekend, this three day festival boasts some top names in dance music including Avicii, The Chemical Brothers, Knife Party, Alesso, Steve Angelo, Annie /mac, Gorgon City, Shift K3y, Blonde, MistaJam, Don Diablo plus even more great acts! If you are travelling to Creamfields by train, the nearest stations are Runcorn and Warrington, however the nearest mainline station is Liverpool Lime Street which will also be operating a shuttle service to and from the festival. 5. Reading and Leeds festival – 28th – 30th August
Another august bank holiday festival taking place this year is the Reading and Leeds festival. These two festivals include the same line up with all acts alternating to play at both locations. There are six stages full of live music and entertainment with acts including The Libertines, Mumford and Sons, Metallica, Kendrick Lamar, Bastille, The Maccabees, Limp Bizkit, Rebel Sound, Boy Better Know, The Wombats to name but a few. And it’s not just the music that will be keeping you entertained, there’s also a cinema tent, a silent tent, a funfair and 5-a-side football.

6. SW4 – 29th – 30th August
August bank holiday weekend has so much to offer that festivalgoers will be spoilt for choice. SW4, another festival taking place in our much loved capital city is aptly named after its post code location in Clapham. With the top names in dance music and drum and bass, get yourself down to Clapham Common for biggest beats in the industry. The line-up at this year’s event includes Faithless, Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx, Skrillex, Eric Prydz, DJ EX, Example, Sasha, Sub Focus and other great names for you to throw some shapes to!

Remember to check train and tube times to make sure you can get home after the festival. The last train times are not that long after the festival closes so we would recommend booking accommodation in London if you do not live close by. 7. British Summer Time – 18th – 28th June
Taking place on various dates throughout June, British Summer Time, taking place in Hyde Park, is an event for the whole family. Starting on the 18th with a weekend of great music including The Strokes, Kylie and Blur and then followed by the comedic talents of Ed Byrne, Richard Hall, Jim Jefferies and Ardal O’Hanlon during the week, this festival ends on a high with The Who, Taylor Swift and family day including Union J, Justin Fletcher, Dick & Dom and more!

8. Bestival – 10th-13th September
Nearing the end of festival season and the warmer weather this year is Bestival. This 4-day boutique festival held in the Isle of Wight includes music, live DJ’s and even some weird and wacky activities such as musical bingo, reggae aerobics, cabaret and even Blind Date! The musical line-up includes a real mixed bag of artists including The Chemical Brothers, Duran Duran, Mark Ronson, The Jacksons, Rudimental, Annie Mac, Boy Better Know, and Charlie XCX.
